Welcome to Quux Software!

Our current flagship product, the Sincpac C3D™, adds more than 100 generic tools and extra features to Autodesk Civil® and Civil 3D® software, and has often been likened to "Express Tools for Civil 3D".  For many users, the Sincpac C3D will pay for itself within the first few days of use, or even within the first few hours of use!

With its many recent additions, the Sincpac C3D has become the pre-eminent generic add-on utility available for Autodesk Civil 3D® software.  If you already thought Civil 3D was powerful, just wait until you turbo-charge it with the Sincpac C3D! All features and tools in the Sincpac C3D are designed entirely for use in Autodesk Civil 3D® 2008, 2009, or 2010 software (or Autodesk Civil® 2009 or 2010), and all commands work on default Civil 3D entities.  Since no custom objects are involved, your drawings may be shared freely with people who do not have the Sincpac C3D.

The tools and commands in the Sincpac C3D feature balloon help in the dialog boxes, so most can be used without even reading a help file.  But should you need it, complete help is available at the click of a button.  The help file is available here on-line, so feel free to browse the list of commands and tools in the current version.

Ribbon Interface

The latest update to the Sincpac-C3D includes a new Ribbon Interface (2010 version only):

This interface makes it much easier to keep track of the commands available in the Sincpac-C3D!  The new Ribbon Interface appears automatically when you install the latest release - no configuration required.

Sincpac C3D v2.11 Released!

With Version 2.11, the Sincpac C3D finally has the ability to import and export Civil 3D Styles!  (Unfortunately, this new functionality is not available in the 2008 and 2009 versions.)

The new ImportCivilStyles and ExportCivilStyles commands now make it much easier to manage styles.  Quickly and easily transport any or all styles between drawings.  You'll be amazed at how quickly and easily hundreds of styles can be imported or exported!

And best of all, this feature is part of the Drafting Module of the Sincpac C3D, which can be purchased for only $135!

DrawingTemplate and Quick Layer Import

In addition, Version 2.10 came out just a short time ago, and introduced some other handy new features, including the concept of a link back to the Drawing Template.  Now, whenever you create a new drawing, a link is included in the drawing, so it remembers the template it was created from.  Currently, the only use of this feature involves layers.  When auto-generating a layer, Sincpac C3D commands will check to see if the layer exists in the template.  If so, the layer is copied from the template, instead of being created with the default settings.

There is also now the new Quick Layer Import feature, as well as the related ImportLayer command.  These features allow layers to be quickly and easily imported from a variety of sources, including the DrawingTemplate, the QNew Template, any currently-open drawing, any XREF of the current drawing, or more!  Look for this functionality to continue to grow in months to come.

Automatic Point Group Update

This is one of the most exciting new features in the Sincpac C3D!  As all Civil 3D users are probably aware, Civil 3D Point Groups do not automatically update.  Well, not anymore...

With the new Point Group Update feature in the Sincpac C3D, Point Groups will automatically update whenever Cogo Points are created or deleted!  This behavior is controlled using the new PGUpdateEnabled system variable, stored in each individual drawing.  If you also turn on PGUpdateOnEdit, then Point Groups will also be updated every time you edit a Cogo Point.

The PGBrowser command may also be used to suppress the Automatic Update for individual Point Groups.  Simply check or uncheck the item for "Automatically Update" for each Point Group in the Point Group Browser.  And the new PGUpdateAll command may also be used to update all Point Groups from the command line.  This is handy for people who are unaware of or have a hard time remembering the undocumented "AeccUpdateAllPointGroups" command.

And that's not all!  To see a complete list of changes, fixes, and new features, take a look at the Sincpac C3D change log.

And we're still just beginning!

There is still much more to come!  A number of exciting tools are slated for release in the near future, along with many improvements to the existing tools.  Look for all three Sincpac C3D modules to gain significant additional functionality in the coming weeks and months.  Your purchase of a license includes updates for one year from the date of purchase, so you will gain access to all new tools and features as they are released.

There are also four subsets of the Sincpac-C3D tools available, for those who don't need the complete toolset.  See the Product Matrix for details on which fetaures are available in each module.  Also, feel free to download the complete Sincpac-C3D and request a free trial.
